Title: Reliability of visual minima timing of eclipsing binaries.

Abstract:  

   Plenty of mid-eclipse timings of short-periodic binaries derived from series of visual 

observations appear to be an acceptable source of information for orbitalperiod analyses. 

However, our thorough period analysis of nearly contact eclipsing binary BS Vul unveiled 

hidden danger in usage of visual observations.
