The Rubin Observatory's Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) is scheduled to begin in about two years. LSST will enable a wide range of scientific investigations, from the solar system to the Milky Way and beyond. However, LSST's ability to make discoveries will depend on its survey strategy, which involves defining the survey's footprint, planning observations using different filters, and scheduling revisits to the same field. The Rubin team has developed hundreds of simulated operations. In this talk, I will provide a brief introduction to LSST and discuss how we are evaluating its observing strategies for astrophysical transients to maximize LSST's potential, as well as exploring the opportunities that the Rubin community offers for us and other projects I am working on.

李小龙,约翰斯•霍普金斯大学的博士后研究员,2023年获得了美国特拉华大学博士学位。研究方向包括评估和优化LSST巡天策略,搜寻瞬变天体,超新星,星际介质,机器学习和数据分析等。
