With their wide yet well-determined age coverage, precise distances, and accurate proper motions, open clusters serve as natural laboratories for stellar formation and evolution, and as key tracers for mapping the three-dimensional structure and dynamical history of the Milky Way. In the era of large-scale astrometric and spectroscopic surveys such as Gaia and LAMOST, cluster research is undergoing a historic transformation toward larger samples and higher precision. This talk systematically explores how multi-wavelength survey data can advance our understanding of Galactic star formation and Milky Way structure, organized around two themes: (1) using cluster populations across a broad age baseline to constrain the large-scale structure and evolution of the spiral arms and Galactic warp; and (2) Extending from the Galactic disk into the circumgalactic environments, where newly discovered young clusters shed light on the triggering mechanisms of star formation within high-velocity clouds. Together, these results highlight the central role that new open cluster samples play in building a coherent picture of the Milky Way's assembly and ongoing evolution.
报告人简介:
西华师范大学物理与天文学院研究员,曾先后求学于四川大学物理系和南京紫金山天文台,2020年获天体物理学博士学位。硕士期间关注高银纬分子云恒星形成,读博时重心转向利用疏散星团研究银河系旋臂结构。此后在西华师大天文系进一步拓展了星团样本和银盘结构研究。开发了新的星团搜寻方法TGFIG,建立了迄今该领域最丰富的远距离(d>4kpc)疏散星团样本;并利用星团精确示踪银盘结构,厘清了银盘翘曲进动速率过快争议,证认出旋臂瞬态演化特征;结合LAMOST、Gaia、EBHIS等光谱、天体测量和射电巡天数据,发现高速云中的恒星形成,为星系周介质向银盘的气体吸积过程提供了直接观测证据。
